Thanks for trying out "Clowning Around. This track was built with 2 goals in mind. The first was to make the race itself challenging. I wanted to race my favorite cars on a track that would challenge me. Hopefully it will challenge you too. Second, I like to laugh, so I tried to incorporate things that made me laugh. I hope they make you laugh also.

If you have any suggestions, criticism (please be kind), tips, improvements, etc..., please e-mail me with the address above.

FOR THE BEST RESULTS

I have tweaked the track to the best of my ability and tested it using the cars: Avus, Alien, Ivan-Benz Short-Wheel, SCORCHER, PT Cruiser, BMW E7 3.5, Vauxhall VX 220, Porshe-GT1, Rage, Cat 2000 and Toyeca with the following results:

Test Results

The cars that did the best on this track where are the following: PT Cruiser, Ivan Benz Short-Wheel, BMW E7 3.5, Vauxhall VX 220, Porshe-GT1 and SCORCHER.

PT Cruiser and Ivan Benz Short-Wheel where very consistant taking 1st or 2nd 95% of the time.

For the most challenging racing, use the above cars to race against and use CAT 2000 or Toyeca.

Using Toyeca, I had a very hard time taking 1st place.

Cat 2000 in my opinion is a very good all around car, it has a nice balance in all areas. It beats the pants off any of the original Re-Volt cars. With this car, it is a challenge to get 1st place in "Clowning Around". My average was 2nd & 3rd place, with an occasional 1st place.

I HIGHLY recommend installing the following cars in order to get the most challenge / fun using this track:

  • Avus by RiffRaff
  • Alien by RiffRaff
  • BMW E7 3.5 by RABBIT 2000
    Cat 2000 by Antimorph
  • Ivan-Benz Short-Wheel by Ivan Mandel
  • Porshe GT1 by RiffRaff
  • PT Cruiser by RiffRaff & Nairb
  • Rage by RiffRaff
  • SCORCHER by phantomx
  • Vauxhall VX 220 by RiffRaff

To get these cars visit: RHQ - Re-Volt Headquarters

NOTE: There are hundreds of card out there. The cars I have listed above are just the cars I have tried out and liked.

INSTALL, UNINSTALL, ETC...

  1. Extract the clowning.zip file into your Re-Volt root directory. It should have created a folder called "ca_install".

Have Fun!

NOTE: This install program replaces some of the original Re-Volt wav files.
DON'T PANIC ! All the original wav files are just renamed with an org_ in front of them. Just run the uninstall_wav.bat file to replace the original wav files.

BUGS & PROBLEMS

Unfortunitely, I didn't start using rvglue4 until the very end of building this track. As a result, I created "invisible barriers". I didn't have the time to start all over again from ground zero, so I patched them the best I could.
