It’s hard to rate this against modern standards given that when this track came out, you essentially had to hack the game to get anything like this to work. Suffice to say, it’s quite disappointing and not at all of the same quality as Re-Ville, which came out just a handful of months later. The one thing you’ll notice straight away is the lack of lighting and shadows, a problem that continually plagues a lot of fan-made tracks, up to this decade.
Even as a historical artefact, there’s very little point in playing this rendition of the track if you want a sequel to Botanical Garden. This track was given a Redux in 2021 by Chris Johannsen which makes it a lot easier on the eyes and there’s also Xarc’s Botanical Garden EX and ANM’s remixed BG set at night time.
This is a pretty super interesting track, and besides, it’s almost one of the very first made on this site, of course, not everything is straight smooth with textures, but that’s okay.
