Here it is: the Piston Cup
Inspired by Pixar’s legendary "Motor Speedway of the South", this thunderous oval brings authentic Piston Cup spectacle to Re-Volt. At 391 meters, the track features high-banked turns, a full pit lane, towering grandstands and sponsor billboards to recreate the championship atmosphere. Force fields guard the infield (no internal cuts allowed) so races stay true to the road and every overtake matters. The entire venue is fully explorable: wander the paddock, climb the press boxes, or celebrate in victory lane. And with Pickups-On mode, the proud arena devolves into glorious chaos: wrecks, bounces and mayhem make every lap unpredictable.
Piston Cup is also included in my “Paige’s Piston Cup” pack, available now on my repository: Paige's Repo
So buckle up, hit the throttle, and prove you’ve got what it takes to become the next Piston Cup champion. Speed, glory, and pride await at every turn!

86/100

This track is a blast to race on with 16 to 30 cars, a high lap count, and powerups on. I love how there’s just huge lines of pickups to ensure tons of chaos. After a couple laps, cars begin lapping each other, and it’s not long until the road becomes oil slick/fake powerup hell in the best way imaginable. The inside part of the track will slow you down massively, so taking turns close can be risky. However, the track is still large enough that, with skill, you can overcome the chaos. I feel the size of this track is perfect and strikes a good balance between driving skill and item warfare.
Great stuff. <3
The idea is good, but the execution isn’t perfect. The design is very simple and unfortunately doesn’t evoke the film’s atmosphere at all. The graphics could have been detailed to match the film and atmosphere, the physics could have been more playable and enjoyable, and the length could have been at least 600 meters. If a second version were considered as I mentioned, it could have been a beautiful piece. Kudos to you for your efforts.
A standard oval track with quite a great atmosphere. The only minus (In my opinion) is that the straight of the track is too short. If you remember the shots from the cartoon, the straight lines were quite long. However, I still liked it. I am looking forward to your new creations on “cars”.
nice recreation, i must say. my only thing i dont like is how much it lags my pc at some parts, should def try optimizing that yk ^^
Hey @Ced!
Even if it might seem directed to you (well if you voted that, then it was xD) there was absolutely no intention by me to offend or insult whoever made the rating, I was just genuinely curious about that. There is no obligation to justify the personal rating, but at this point I take this as an exchange of opinions, and I give you mine.
I agree on the five stars, but on the others let me say that the track must be oval because the piston cup originally is, and about how you can play the track, there is a lot of fun playing the “Piston Cup” mode. If you play with few cars and even without pickups then I guess there is no fun at all, but trust me (and we even tested it online multiple times) playing with 16 (or more if there exists a modded version of 30) cars, CPU or not, with pickups and 10 laps (or more) then it is absolutely insane! You can never tell if and when you’ll win, even if you are 150m ahead the car behind you… no rules, no mercy, and I guarantee it even gives you an online challenge in which everyone can win, even someone who never plays the game. Surely the simple oval doesn’t help with the “raceline” option, but maybe this mode can help to increase the overall fun! This is my opinion on the track.
I just suggest you to play online with other people, it’s better if you are a lot, and let me know what you’ll think about this chaotic mode!
As stressed before, I respect other people’s opinion, even when I don’t understend them at first (it happens to everyone), but I’m glad we made this kind of exchange. I wish you a good day!
@Gigi
Given the ratings this track has received, I think this comment: “I cannot understand why someone should give a low rating to this accurate reproduction.” is directed at me.
Back in the days of Revolt Zone, I didn’t download any tracks with a rating lower than 90/100. I didn’t find them interesting.
On Re-volt World, I consider tracks with a score above 80 to be very good tracks.
As for Piston Cup, my detailed notes are as follows:
Raceline, flow, pickup: 3 stars. Low rating due to the raceline which is an oval (and 3/5 is not a bad score).
Visual, artdesign, atmosphere: 5/5. It’s definitely a very good map.
Sfx, music, effects: 5/5 (I love camera flashes.)
Overall fun: 2 stars
Because even all the good things mentioned above are not enough to make me love this track. It’s very well done, but I wouldn’t play it.
Now let’s compare this track to three other recent ones that I find truly exceptional and to which I haven’t given a score of 100/100: Office 1; Chrystal Caves; Radio Kootwishk. I simply cannot put Piston Cup on the same level.
That’s just my way of seeing things, and what makes a rating strong is mainly the number of voters.
I try to be as fair as possible.
kind regards (-;
The simple oval makes more fun than expected ! Fine racing atmosphere and funny inside area details. Good music, but a little too short. The loading screen should be dark blue like other tracks. Overall a very entertaining idea !
While I’m not much of a fan of Pixar Cars, but this track is pretty decent! I like it!
It would be great to see that Tokyo track that appeared in the film, Cars 2. I love the design of that track.
As one of those who witnessed almost every phase of this track, I can say Paige went through a lot of improvement time after time. Along with his three related masterpieces (Lightning McQueen, The King and Chick Hicks), this is surely one of the best revolt mod he did. An incredible work which deserves almost the maximum (if not the maximum itself) in my opinion! I hope its rating will increase, I cannot understand why someone should give a low rating to this accurate reproduction.
Finally! Excelent Job, Paige. Cant wait to start racing online in some events.
