Before the Escudo, there was this. Driven by Rod Millen in 1994, it set a new record at the time that was unbeaten for over 10 years, due to the lower section of the course being paved, so this car's record still stands as the fastest on an all dirt course and forever will.

I was digging around an ancient archive I have and happened to find a few cars worthy of rescuing and breathing new life into, this is one of them. Originally created from scratch in 2000 by Darryl Mills and based on the Hot Wheels model. I fixed up a number of things, mainly the body and it's mapping as well as giving it a completely new set of parameters to attempt to fit in with upcoming Super-Pro class.

Whilst it doesn't posses the highest top speed or best handling, it is unmatched for sheer acceleration. Move aside, Yinisa. You'll need fast reaction times to keep it in line, especially on shorter or narrower tracks as mistakes can add up very quickly. For a purpose made off-road racer, it's not much for sliding about on dirt or ice but it still kicks out a little if you allow it to.

Thanks to Burner for the body shading and Gotolei for the wheel texture.
