I told you that the OG Darkside would appear! I said that 2 years ago I think.
Anyway, say hello to Darkside, making it's debut in the very first Twisted Metal game released in 1995. It returned as a sub boss in Twisted Metal 3 (You can download it here but to use it in that game, you need Gameshark or Action Replay to use it), Small Brawl, Black and the recent one for the PlayStation 3.
Darkside is known for being large, tough and evil looking. It's main advantage is it's size, able to ram anything in it's way. Unfortunately, in it's debut, it's really bad to use. Why? It's special weapon is ATROCIOUS. It's just a small white laser beam that does minimal damage. Really though, it's true special weapon is it's size. Take advantage of it by ramming smaller cars such as Crimson Fury or even Thumper, they'll lose a lot of health by ramming into them if you are using Darkside, but be careful, ramming can also damage Darkside. When it comes to ramming, Warthog is resistant to it, but you can try ramming it. DO NOT RAM HAMMERHEAD WITH DARKSIDE. Hammerhead will instead crush Darkside with it's large tires as ramming into Hammerhead has no effect on it. If Hammerhead is your opponent while using Darkside, use other options to take it down. It's other weakness is that it has slow acceleration, making it an easy target for faster cars such as Crimson Fury or Spectre. Don't let Darkside freeze you! Otherwise, you'll suffer against it's ramming capabilities.
This is clearly a rig, don't expect this to be fast. It's quite balanced and easy to use for it's class. Enjoy!
