Hello and Welcome!
Never thought the day would come when I would upload my very own custom track, but here we are.
Introducing Evergreen Hills Raceway, inspired by various community-made circuit courses, featuring a small variety of elevation changes, tricky corners, and a somewhat decent scenery.
Thank you to Saffron for her constructive insights during the development of this track.
Though the track doesn't feature shading and the AI isn't the most challenging either, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Update 1.1:
I just noticed that track direction triggers seem to be missing on the track, I like the usage of the yellow and red barriers to indicate if the incoming turn is easy or requires breaking but still having those triggers would be nice
I like the vibes this track gives, the choice for the grass textures not being all grass gives it a more realistic feeling.
Also I like the fact that you made the skybox be a cloudy/haze weather, makes the lack of shading fit the aestethic, no sun, no shadows.
The wider track is refreshing, this wideness feels really balanced for online races and there is room for wiggle, it isn’t microscopic like it would be on tracks like Motor Sports Land, Tingin Inc. GP or ultra wide like Jimsonweeds Raceway or the GPx tracks. It just feels right.
I haven’t raced much on it to give race line feedback but I wanted to give my first impressions about it
For many reasons, it’s not really my favourite kind of track.
But there’s no denying that it’s really well done, especially for a first attempt.
There are a few shortcomings in terms of lighting and AI, but you’ve noticed that.
The racing line is fluid. It’s cool.
I hope it will be followed by other creations from you.
