Useless things to know about this car:
- Decided to make another RG car, assuming that RG means Racing Green (this is not the first RG car i make, RG4 was the first one)
- Originally the car was supposed to have a very minimal paintjob like RG1 and RG4 had, but then i decided to try something different that could fit better the pro class, hope you like it
- This car is based on Saleen S7
The RG0 is a Professional take on the RG1 and, out of curiosity, I decided to give it a try. Starting with the model, it is based on the Saleen S7 and it is great, with all the proportions right. As for the texture, I like this interpretation of RG1 and RG4’s paint schemes, which manages to look unique while still resembling them, and I really enjoyed the lighter tone of the included alternative skin. The polish is good, but some details such as the headlights, the badge on the rear, the black border around the windshields and the headlights, the vents and the side vents and the roof scoop are wrong or missing. Performance-wise, the RG0 is pretty good for its class. It is fast and it has decent acceleration, but the way it drives is strange. The steering occasionally feels soft, stiff or somewhere in between and the handling sometimes loses quite a bit of grip, making the car tricky to control. In addition, the recovery times can be sluggish and the stability is inconsistent at times, which is very frustrating. Nonetheless, I think it is a reasonably fun car to drive.
Overall, the RG0 is a good car. Despite having a quirky driving style, it compensates with amazing looks and good polish. Good job.
