Original mesh (and main skin!) by PaintHeart. Axles come from Norfair's Outlaw, remapped and scaled to fit. Details and alt skin by yours truly - also my first experiment with baked lighting in Blender using actual light sources, instead of hand-drawing it. Includes a PSD paintkit as always. Name suggested by Mladen007 - thanks man! :)

A cigar-shaped openwheeler reminiscent of the good ol' Sixties, inspired by the Terrazi Starlight from Ridge Racer Type 4. Drives similarly to Pole Poz, although I tried to make it a little bit more nimble and competitive against other more viable Semi-Pro cars.

  1. This car is one of the best cars i have played in a while. The 3D Model is great and its size is not too small and not too big for this type of car. The skin on this car is excellent, even the secound one. The parameters of this car compete for one of the best in the semi-pro class for me. I see there is a lot of polish done to this car because of its high quality skin. My overall fun should be 5/5, because i had lots of fun races competing with other cars. The name of this car is great (it sounds great for me), and the overall design is excellent. 5/5 :)

  2. It’s no surprise to anybody that a Formula 60’s car lacks any grip, why is anybody shocked that it handles like molasses? Except…that’s not the case here. Sure, top speed and great accel on speedy tracks, it’ll fly by anybody, only bad about it it’s the weight. It’s a glass cannon. But this thing can also somehow excel in tricky, technical tracks. Confused? Allow me to explain.

If you slow down, you can turn better. Crazy, right? But when using speed to your advantage, if you let go of the the accelerator, you can pull off some power slides, which will come in clutch, you will need that. You got a turbo battery power up? You can be defensive, or offensive. The latter is worth it, you go very fast and you gain extra grip and nimbleness, use it when you have to. Are you on the wrong side of the track? No problem! Reverse 180 with this thing is surprisingly satisfying, and you’re back in the race in no time.

I’ve tried this in tracks like Museum 1, Supermarket 1, and if you know how to drive many cars like this one, you’ll realize, this is just a better Pole Poz, which is a good thing. No, it’s more than the Pole Poz, really. This thing is a glass cannon, you can excel in any track, but be warned, you’re a paper weight, and you might wheelie a few times, which is not ideal. This car…is…extremely balanced.

I’ve helped with Crimson Fury on the conversion of Starlight to make it somehow handle like it did in RRT4, but your take on it is very inspiring. Expertly done, friend.

  3. Innovative? Yeah, sure, maybe. Any good? Hardly, but it deserves the 3 stars at minimum. This is something I often award creators and their creations with when it’s clear there was effort put into a creation, but not enough to make something that truly shines – And this has got to be one of those creations. I hardly ever go on creations harsh enough to rate them below that score. And if I do, they probably deserve it. Hence, I think 3.3/5 stars score is still valid.

  4. Has burner94 invented a new way of steering on turns? The the appearance being as appealing as Locust’s, it gave me the doubt that this would be another Patriot which only Uncle Tio himself could steer. But the truth was a happy surprise. It’s a really innovative rc car, and I hope more skins would be made for it. It’s also funny looking when it flips so the ResMod has been set well. At first it felt a bit understeering in the usual sense, like RV Loco. But in fact it’s just a matter of learning curve. Good job!

  5. Drives as bad as one would expect from the design, which, in and of itself, is not all that bad, surprisingly. If you are looking for redeeming qualities in this one in terms of parameters, prepare for disappointment, as the only thing this can do well is ride on slippery surfaces. And yes, it is possible to get this thin monster under control and get some wins – But you will be much better off with it in wide, open tracks like Toys In The Hood 1. 3.3/5 stars.
