    === Description ===

This is the Micro Machines V4 package, my first mod in Re-volt,
I've always loved this brand of toys, even though I don't have any
of them in my collection of toys, I started the project to convert these cars
when i saw a modder called mrroblinx convert the track:
Kitchen - Pedal Bin Pile-Up, after that I put it in my head
that I will convert some cars from this game.
ADVICE to Re-volt Drivers, the vehicles are sensible to small hits
in the wall, in the moment of collision the car will lose control and when
jumping on a ramp (in high speeds) your car will bounce, the rear suspentions
became unstable and you lose control of the vehicle.
This is the limits of these cars, by learning the limits of Micro Machines
you can win any race with them, so remember to keep distance of the walls
and reduce the speed on jumps.
    Hope you like it!

    Sorry for my bad english!

  1. Hi @erkanth, sorry for the late reply, man I dont manipulated the MMV4 Files, what I mean by that, I don’t extract any files of Micro Machines V4. I only used the 3D Ripper DX, this program does a snapshot of 3d scene and capture the meshes and texture, first injects himself on the game like SweetFX or ReShade, Second, by pressing F6, the program copy all objects and textures on scene, with the meshes and texture in hand, I open Blender Edit the mesh there and use the Paint.net to recreate some textures of some cars, had to reconstruct the UVLayout of all cars, to work properly on Re-Volt.

  2. Hi, was wondering if you had any tricks on dealing with the txd files for MicroMachines v4? I’m trying to start a retexture for the game but i’m stuck with this and haven’t been able to find anything that will allow me to open them in any tool. They seem to be locked or in a different format or something. Cheers

  3. Ayyyy thanks for the quick replies. You can even contact me on Discord instead of pulling a long thread in RVW comments, I don’t mind. Handle is in my profile and in the site’s Contacts. As per Gel’s tutorial, it does cover some basics but it’s somewhat outdated in some areas…

PS: the word you were looking for is probably “understood”, although you should’ve said “I didn’t understand” in that case :P

  6. Sorry for the long delay, we had a couple technical difficulties with car pack handling and this got stuck with no accessible file for us to review…

MMV4 was one of my favourite PS2 games, so seeing these in RV makes me very happy. I very much like the things you did with the sounds, even going as far as giving the Blower versions supercharger sounds, very nice. The extra skins on top of what the original game offered are also very welcomed.

Two small nitpicks: you forgot the preview pics for Warbird (both versions), and the cars could use a slightly smaller Inertia, it will make their landings and collision behaviour a lot more composed. Right now it’s very hard to land long/high jumps, it kinda feels like you’re driving Clockworks… and I’m not sure if you explicitly wanted them to behave like this or not, so I felt like reporting. Nothing bad per se (:

Looking forward to seeing more MMV4 car classes then! (:
