Originally created for Re-Volt World's Spring Break 2026 contest.
Initially intended to be an open-wheel buggy, a spur-of-the-moment decision to add fenders to this cherry-petal inspired go-kart resulted in an offroad-roadster hybrid. An... off-roadster, if you will. Its name is taken from the informal name for Prunus Yedoenis, a species of cherry tree which is, much like the vehicle itself, a hybrid.
Specced to be an Amateur-class car from the outset, its blistering top speed of 34 MPH is offset by its questionable acceleration and turning speed. It's also much lighter than it looks at only 1.2 kg, so while it can easily handle the roughest of terrain with little issue, it has a much harder time handling rough opponents.
My advice for scoring wins with this car is to give your opponents a wide berth — this may force you to take some turns wider than you'd normally prefer, but the trade-off is that you'll have that tiny bit of extra space to accelerate up to the car's full speed.
