    NOW UPDATED WITH ADDITIONAL SOUNDS

    BIG UPDATE COMING SOON! STAY TUNED...

    WARNING: A few files are exported at 88kHz, and some are 4-channel. I'm unsure how compatible these said files will be, but it seems to work both on Windows 10 and Android. Other platforms will remain unknown until someone spots and reports a bug in their copy.

    ===================================================

    Want to soup up your game with a massive selection of sounds? Well you've come to the right place! Feast your eyes and ears upon this supersized library of wave sounds! From the roaring selection of engine sounds, to the various wavs that are designed to replace your default sounds! So what are you waiting for... dig in, and step on that gas pedal!

    ===================================================

    Currently there are 71 engine sounds, with an additional 25 exhaust option files, making a total of 96! More are on the way!

    You are allowed to upload any of your cars that use these sounds, but you must credit me beforehand. Slight modifications of these files are allowed as well, but DO NOT claim them as your own, and also never upload any of these sounds in your own resource pack either.

    ===================================================

    I will possibly add more sounds in the future.

    ===================================================

    All sounds are edited/fused together with Audacity. Some are just from a single audio clip and plenty are heavily modified and/or combined to make new unique sounds (like the turbo/supercharged engines for example).

    Sources Used:

    Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing
    Hot Wheels: Velocity X
    Hot Wheels: World Race
    Hill Climb Racing
    Hill Climb Racing 2
    Wii Play
    Forza Motorsport (2005)
    Forza Horizon 4
    Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
    LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts
    LEGO City Undercover
    Need for Speed II SE
    NFS Underground 2
    NFS Carbon (I mistakenly remembered the turbo sound(s) came from Carbon, not Forza)
    NFS Shift 2 (thanks to Tarun)
    Gran Turismo 2
    Gran Turismo 3: A-spec (thanks to
    Skarma)
    Cars (Game Boy Advance)
    Grand Prix 4 (forgot to include that, sorry)
    a delisted experience from stupid Roblox (I stopped playing Roblox a while ago)
    whatever Mladen007 used for his Furai sound
    And some of my own from-scratch recordings too!
    ===================================================

    So far, the following folders are listed:

    Engine Sounds Pak

    Wav Replacers - HWTR

    Wav Replacers - HWTR x Rynii-Chan

    Wav Replacers - Misc stuff

    ENGINE SOUNDS PAK REQUIRES RVGL

    ===================================================

    ALL OTHER INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE INSIDE THE README FILE. LOCATED IN "Rynii-chan's Extra Content"

    Yes, there are "modifications" in here, but I didn't wanna separate them even further because I already separated them once from my original idea.

    I hope you all enjoy this pack, I have yet to do more add-ons for the abruptly-started, solo-ish, and so-called HWRV project.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    Possible/upcoming ideas in the future

    An unlisted/embedded showcase video for all the engine sounds (now that I have OBS and OpenShot, footage will have to be at 720x480p due to my poor hardware)

    More sounds for the Wav Replacers.

    A new folder titled "Honka Sounds Pak" (requires RVGL).

    And more engine sounds!!!

  1. @Rynii-Chan R/C: I think there is a way to record Enthusia car sounds. If you have the PS2 emulator, Audacity and possibly a PS4 controller (if you can configure), you can play around with the throttle and get different results while making sure to hold the handbrake.

    PS2 model ripping can be done, but it’s quite complicated due to dumb garbage that gets imported with the model.

    Better late than never, but yeah, there’s a reason why I always thought that Enthusia has better driving physics than GT4. The OG Forza is good, so it’s on par with Enthusia. Enthusia has also a unique car roster too. Where else are you going to see a Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Astro and so on.

  2. @Crimson Fury. Unfortunately, there are no signs of sounds from Enthusia at the Sounds Resource, so I am unable to import clean rips of any of the audio files anywhere. But I hope soon they will have them sometime.

    It’s a shame I never grew up with Enthusia and I didn’t realize it existed until late this year (a whole 20 years since it came out)! I’ve never figured out how to rip any game files from a PS2 game (IMO it seems extremely difficult to do so).

    But yes, I do agree after watching several gameplay videos of Enthusia, that I can see from playing so much Gran Turismo 4 in my past that Enthusia is clearly better than both GT4 and Forza (Forza 2005 wasn’t 60fps sadly) when it comes to sound. Visuals quality seems to be great too (on par actually).

  3. I like this pack quite alot! My only suggestion would be, is to one day, try record sounds from Enthusia Professional Racing. The car sounds from that game are quite good if you ask me.

  4. @Tactica anytime! And thank you for trying out my latest pack!
    If you want a big library of clean-ripped sounds (I assume that’s what you were talking about?), consider trying The Sounds Resource. That’s how I cooked up most of mine.

    If I spot any more Hot Wheels in RVW, I’ll keep cooking more sounds up with my mixed chef skills inside my Audacity kitchen. There’s already plenty done and on transit for the next update!

  5. This is very useful. I always replace the engine sounds in my cars, and it always takes me about 20 minutes or more to get a semi-perfect loop, not counting the time it takes to find the clean base sound.
    I mean, right now there are 50 files in the “Engine Sounds Pak” folder, that’s a lot of work!
    Thank you very much for this pack, Rynii.
