Another car from Hot Wheels Extreme Racing appears! This time it's Shadow Jet!

Shadow Jet made it's debut in 1988 and production ended in 2011, which means, it has served it's purpose. Resembling  a mixture of a futuristic speedster racer and a fighter plane, which in this case, the Panavia Tornado ADV (Go look at the plane, then Shadow Jet. You'll see some resemblence). It is equipped with a V-12 Nova Blast engine, with an output of 1.300 BHP, can reach 0-60 MPH in just 7 seconds and a top speed of more than 400 KPH.

This version of Shadow Jet you see, it may not seem "fast" for a Pro, but don't fret. This car is a formidable one, it's great grip should give you no trouble. It does seem a tinsy bit heavy, so be gentle with it.

Shadow Jet made it's playable debut in Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver, and has returned in Turbo Racing, Extreme Racing, Mechanix and in it's final debut, Velocity X.

Since Extreme Racing was rushed, this car was annoying for me and LWG, because there was a bit on the car's body that was a pain to deal with, due to the developers oversight of it, but it has been corrected. Enjoy the car!

    Credits:

THQ for the original model and sound.

LivingWithGames for paramizing the car, colouring the wheels, fixing the annoying bit on the car, etc. You're amazing dude.

Scurest for the implemetation of the 3D Screenshotter function for Duckstation.

  1. @T-Bone The Marowak: I can truly say that your comment, along with Tacita’s, means alot to me and to my wonderful partner LivingWithGames! We are pleased to hear that you along with Tacita are enjoying Shadow Jet!

I also love Shadow Jet aswell, it’s a very unique vehicle with a unique design and characteristics. The last 5 playable Hot Wheels Extreme Racing cars will appear at some point if things in our end go well. Stay tuned!

  2. Shadow Jet is one of my favorite Hot Wheels cars! While its handling can be a tiny bit touchy at times and its steering radius is not the sharpest (but not the widest either), it has a pretty decent top speed for its class. Nice work, I like it!

I still keep my purple Shadow Jet with yellow flames and its orange glass. Thanks for this conversion.
