This car is based on the Chevrolet Suburban from the movie Dante's Peak. I have always loved how this van drove through chaos in the town after an earthquake that was caused by the volcano, and I got inspired to make it in Re-Volt.

This car was named after the real volcano Mount St. Helens, which has erupted back in the 80's. It was the only volcano in America that has erupted recently.

  1. I was pretty convinced early on, with the stiff handling this was gonna be a shit car, but upon more testing and what not, I thought I hated using it. Albeit still tricky to master, once you know the quirk of this car, you’ll begin to adore it, probably.

For starters, let’s just start saying this – I was not expecting this to be done by you, having had some childhood PTSD with that movie in few scenes, a stock-like Suburban is pretty dope, and the wagon 4-door SUV version of it, no less. And having played with it, I say you made it justice and here’s why. It is obviously 4WD, so it has to be stable. How stable we talking? VERY. This thing is a proper off-roader, meat to beat hills and mudpits, as well climb mountains, with that exhaust pipe snorkel, I am convinced! This is no ordinary racer, it is stable, but it doesn’t come clean without disadvantages. The grip is that good, it is almost like ‘glued’ to the surface at almost all costs, meaning it’s turning radius isn’t…very good. But the good news are, it’s fast. Damn fast. Use of battery with it is EXPONENTIALLY RECOMMENDED, the thing is an ABSOLUTE TANK with it! And if you let go of the throttle on tight turns, you can actually, pull of quick turns. Reverse 180’s are not possible though, believe me, I’ve tried.

So yes, if you are facing the wrong way with it, recovery is a bit of a bitch – but if you master that and make the best of it in the long run – Helens, is a fine mistress to handle. Treat it well, and you shall be greatly rewarded..

Overall, as far the car looks, the racing skin for it, and parameters, it’s aces. I won’t give full points for parameters because it can be improved, but it’s by no means a crappy car.
