This is the Hot Wheels True Size conversion pack, with 41 Hot Wheels cars converted from the game Hot Wheels Turbo Racing and made at realistic size for Re-Volt.

This is the full pack (merged earlier Parts 1 and 2 that were caused by upload size limit at old RVZT).

    • They're sized like Hot Wheels, they run like Hot Wheels, and they crash like Hot Wheels.
    • Each handles differently. Collect them all!
    • Too small for weapons.
    • They all run well with the AI, although I can't promise with the latest V1.2.
    • Tested on all stock tracks.
    • Better use them as a standalone pack, although they can be mixed with others if you really want.
    • The cars run with in-game measured ratings, but the parameter files have a commented-out rating based on top speed like most people do.
    • Now mostly cured of the pinballitis. They still crash and tumble like Hot Wheels, but not exponentially anymore. The zip includes the previous edition for lulz and general nuttyness.

EDITED by RVW staff (burner94), Dec 13, 2023:

    • Reformatted the broken description.
    • Properly repacked using RVXTG backups (Part 2 was missing from RVW) - thanks LivingWithGames for the mention.
    • Made the Clockwork replacers and Hot Wheels frontend logo into their own separate download.

  1. Honestly, I’m very impressed with this pack! These models are well-designed (especially for 2012 standards).

I believe all of the models are based on the N64 version of Turbo Racing (even though I’ve only played the PS1 version physically since I’ve never owned a real N64, the PS1 disc I have is cracked but it still runs).

I like the concept of the miniaturized vehicles because it makes it more accurate to real Hot Wheels-sized, but at the same time it doesn’t really make them quite competition-friendly against the full-sized cars (‘cuz they’re so tiny).

Fortunately (I will credit everyone in this pack if I ever do this)…
I’m currently working on making/converting full-sized versions of these cars (in a pack) at 3.7x the size (which is about equal to a normal Re-Volt car), using the same models and textures of the cars here (I’ll possibly even upscale the textures too to make them look extra-crispy).

It will take me a LOT of work (since I have to adjust a lot of the params to make them work on full-scale vehicles), but it’ll (maybe/hopefully) be worth it.

But one issue… there’s no possible way I can easily increase the polygons of the tire models (subdividing doesn’t seen to work with these ones), and they look too hexagonal for the large-scale editions idea.
