    Hi there...
this isn't just a track, it have real lore.
I'm depressed, so most time i'm just sad, and i wanted to show this on this track. its all dark, its all black-white, just like my thoughts :/ maybe pick-ups still are colorful, cuz they're hope, hope for something new, better, but when you get wepon, you realize hope is gone.
through simplicity, appearance and music you can feel this track, its short and easy, so you can feel its atmosphere better.
this track is made to show you how sad I am deep inside...
i hope you're happy in your life, not as me 😔
and remember – this track has a deeper meaning than just winning.

    Special thanks for...
    All of you guys.
All of you make me happy by downloading and rating my track...
    I got 5 ratings in 3 hours, and 3 ratings are 5/5...
thanks for all that give that 5/5...

I respect his experiences and feelings. My criticism is that the track is too simple. Instead of a Lego theme, a setting more suited to depression could have been designed. For example, a forested area dominated by rain and gloom, deserted streets, or an abandoned settlement.

  2. @mustafa everyone goes through it their own way, please don’t try to invalidate someone else’s feelings or experiences.

@CactokingTheGreat I’m sorry you’re going through such a rough time and hope things brighten up soon. Hang in there, and you’ve done a great job finding the creative energy to express how you’re feeling with these tracks.

    As for the actual review:
This and Depression 2 are very well done Lego tracks in terms of atmosphere, even the items being greyed out is an interesting twist. The soundtrack is a little much for me I’ll admit, but I can get the vibe. The actual race line is well enough, though I think I prefer Depression 2 to 1 in that regard. Both tracks feature a section with that pinball bumper-like barriers on both side, but I find it a little trickier to deal with here personally.

Excited to see what Cactoking comes up with next.

  3. @Ced! about the “invisible turn” I know you’re talking about one of the wide turns at the end of the track, which is almost unavoidable to get that bug on reversed mode. I thought at first that was an error with visiboxes, but the thing is that there isn’t a .vis file and I don’t really know what happened there or what’s causing that bug now. I’ll try to investigate that issue in the future.

  4. That’s a great first step, but there’s still a lot of work to be done on the makeitgood mode.
Here’s a good tutorial on the subject. https://re-volt.gitlab.io/content-tutorial/makeitgood/index.html
It’s a part that’s invisible on screen, not the most glamorous thing to work on (although…), but it’s partly what makes the difference.
It’s cool to see newcomers to the world of track creators.
Can’t wait to see more of your work.

  5. First time I make a comment this long…
first of all, I obviously hope you are not facing real huge problems, that these are the kind of things which after a while will pass as time goes on… that kind of things you think and have as a teenager. If this is the case, and at this point I really hope so (and you are absolutely not forced to tell, these are your business), then I can fully understand the “take what you feel and bring into the game”. I made the same exact thing like you did here, creating a whole new mod for RVGL 10 years ago. Looking at it makes me feel nowadays as fascinated by my toughts and at the same time a little bit impressed!
Secondly, always look around you. You probably have people who cares about you, and something you can do for distraction when you need. I think that putting your creativity based on the moment is something to improve yourself and at the same time outburst a little, I remember what it felt, and you have the right to do this.
Always handle your life, you’ll face awesome moments and problems as we all do, be patient and love yourself and everyone who does the same to you!
By the way, this track remembered a bit what I used to do, I like it.
    Take care!
