    This track mod enables special triggers that allow you to open shortcuts and close some doors! The new rules are described below:

    • Green boxes open a shortcut: find it and use it before it closes.
    • Orange boxes close a door for approximately 15 seconds, but it leaves you enough time to cross it before it closes.
    • There is always at least one safe route and the AI will usually follow it. However, the AI has been designed to use the triggers sometimes! Even in a singleplayer race, you will have to adapt your strategy.
    • The good news is that before a door closes, a special effect is visible for one second before it closes (there is nothing for the bridge).

    This track mod also includes the fire texture animation and the custom barrel that would not work with the original game.

  1. I also can’t play this track without this mod, but I’ll give you three reasons why it should be downloaded separately:
    – I want this gameplay to be optional as it adds new rules, in case some people prefer playing this track without this mod.
    – The track without the mod is compatible with the vanilla Re-Volt.
    – The fact it’s a mod highlights what the translucent boxes are for, if it was incorporated directly into the original track some players could be confused when seeing the translucent boxes without knowing their purpose.

    However, according to the download count, at the time I write this comment only 25% of players have downloaded the mod (it increased, it was only 10% a few months ago), I can only encourage anyone who only played the track without the mod to give it a try.

  2. I can’t even imagine playing Hanging Gardens without this special triggers mod. In my opinion, it should have been incorporated directly into the original track.
