A community cult-classic, reimagined.
Thames GT is a rather bulky, on-road car that takes direct inspiration from the Jaguar XJ220 with a race wrap. It offers all-round 4WD performance in combination with a slight 4-wheel steering, allowing a smoother cornering compared to other cars with its same features. It almost feels like a barge.
Funnily enough, Zipper was used as a base for this one.

The Thames GT is quite the fun car, based on the XJ220, it not only good looking, it plays pretty well for a Pro car. And a thing not every car has – not only 4WD, actual all wheel steering. Given a shot, it is stable and actually fun to toss around the tracks. With a top speed of above 40mph, 41.2 probably, it’s pretty damn powerful.
Probably a keeper, but not a complete fan of it myself, in my humble opinion. But don’t let my opinion be skewed for this car. All a matter of taste, really. Others will love this car more than I do.
Driving a car with all 4 wheels turning …. While the rear wheels have a greater steering angle than the front ones … It’s a dubious pleasure to drive this car.
