Sorry man, but you couldn't be farther from the truth here. There are small changes in each of the param files which gives each var unique handling styles. The basis is similar, as it IS the same chassis. But, these are based more on real life car physics rather than R/C, which means, diverse engine upgrades/body modifications can cause weigh distribution to br slightly different. Hardness of springs gives also a different angle at which the car sits (air going over and under the car), which affects top speed and accelleration.
