Shooting Star
Semi-Pro Car

Innovative? Yeah, sure, maybe. Any good? Hardly, but it deserves the 3 stars at minimum. This is something I often award creators and their creations with when it's clear there was effort put into a creation, but not enough to make something that truly shines - And this has got to be one of those creations. I hardly ever go on creations harsh enough to rate them below that score. And if I do, they probably deserve it. Hence, I think 3.3/5 stars score is still valid.

Frod is a car, that, at first glance, provides only disappointment within it's performance. However, it hides great potential if in the right hands, and if CPU doesn't screw you over. Definitely 4 stars to parameters for positive surprise in performance. Also, the grip is pretty acceptable - It's definitely something I didn't expect out of a car that largely does poorly with most things.

Drives as bad as one would expect from the design, which, in and of itself, is not all that bad, surprisingly. If you are looking for redeeming qualities in this one in terms of parameters, prepare for disappointment, as the only thing this can do well is ride on slippery surfaces. And yes, it is possible to get this thin monster under control and get some wins - But you will be much better off with it in wide, open tracks like Toys In The Hood 1. 3.3/5 stars.

No kidding. This thing is an absolute beast when it comes to size - And, like most other oversized cars in this game, it would do far better as a small, nimble buggy car. Parameters wise, despite the obvious strengths of size and surprisingly decent top speed, combined with acceptable acceleration, I think that, as harsh as this rating is, it only deserves 3 stars realistically - Combine all flaws of a large, uncomfortable to drive car into one, and you get a car that hardly does anything very well in racing as a result, which applies to both stock and custom large cars alike.

Eh, you know what? The antennas aren't actually all that bad. The stairs are much worse than that, but driving on the antennas, at least on cars of lower ratings is pretty easy. If anything, I would say that the only bad part about this track is the length which is just too short, but that aside, it's pretty nice.

Advanced Car

It is no problem, although, I think you got me wrong. The model is pretty good to be honest, even the texture is decent - I suppose I should have had just said that I'm not the biggest fan of a style like this, but it's a good looking car for those that do like it. Parameters are a far bigger issue, but I understand that they were meant to be accurate to the original.

Despite this car having a 4WD, the only good things about it is the model, with parameters that are definitely below the average - Has the same issues as the car that it based on, so Col. Moss, or at least, shares plenty of it's flaws, including rather slow and tedious turning capability that becomes extreme and annoying when using the battery, only half-decent grip, and speed, compromised of both maximum speed and acceleration both being on the lower side of things. It's not a bad depiction of what a modern day Col. Moss would, or could look like, but sadly, at the cost of performance in races and looks/design, it is an accurate one.

Let me correct you on that: This is a very common misconception. A track doesn't need to flow well to be good. It just makes it more consistent and potentially easier to drive.

I guess I will just have to explain Racer's comment then.. Late, sure, but eh. It's not "fun" to constantly deal with this track's offerings of exclusive wallbangs and rolling over. It's frustrating, and I doubt it's any fun whether you play this single player with or without bots or in multiplayer. Masochists might enjoy a track like this, but a sane person won't. I don't know, does that sound so hard to understand? I guess so.

No matter the dumb I/O classification, an Advanced car remains an Advanced car. Same goes for the rest of the cars that I/O has put into different classes than they actually are.
