[Lua Utility] Custom Gui Utility
Modification Friday, 29th May 2026 |
This can support Dreamcast cars, but by default, it doesn't. I understand why, but even if you try to fix it by extending the range, the image for Purp XL gets pulled instead of the image for RC Phink, and I'm assuming that's no longer just simple math. For context, I'm testing this with Race Position HUD by Dioda313 but since this is the main function that is being used by the other modification, the fix or update needs to be applied here. Could an optional Dreamcast fix be included for this? Thank you in advance, it would be great to see Dreamcast getting detected working properly in the future!

Thanks for considering that. I appreciate it!

@hinochikara - But both of these work fine together? There doesn't seem to be any compatibility issues.

RVGL Lua Modloader
Modification Wednesday, 20th May 2026 |
For some reason, you can not have the file named "revolt.exe", it HAS to be "rvgl.exe", though not sure why. I keep the file named "revolt.exe" though, because I own Re-Volt 1.2 on Steam and usually just put RVGL files over it instead, but for compatibility with Steam's launching process, I name the file "revolt.exe" again. Is this because of the modloader itself? If so, can this be fixed or changed? I think it might have to do with the modified SDL2.dll file, because it does contain "rvgl.exe" string, but I mean, adding an alternative version would be appreciated if it's not too much trouble. Manually replacing the string via HxD sadly doesn't work so this probably goes deeper than that to change this detection mechanism.

[Lua] Race Position HUD
Modification Wednesday, 20th May 2026 |
I have the right version of the game for the mod loader, and no cars in "packs" folder - Sadly, still not working. It only tells me that 2 scripts are loaded, but the GUI for this mod doesn't show up. EDIT: Nevermind, sorry for the issue. Turns out my issue was that, apparently, you can not have the file named "revolt.exe", it HAS to be "rvgl.exe", though not sure why. I keep the file named "revolt.exe" though, because I own Re-Volt 1.2 on Steam and usually just put RVGL files over it instead, but for compatibility with Steam's launching process, I name the file "revolt.exe" again.

RC Phink
Amateur Car Saturday, 14th February 2026 |
I like it, and I also do think I belongs in the Amateur class well enough. It doesn't need to be that much stronger than Volken Turbo in order to be good. I'm glad enough that this car is in the game we have.

Ghost Town 1: Improved AI Nodes
Track Mod Friday, 6th February 2026 |
Can we just please restore bots using the side path and not just going straight through the saloon in regular version of the track? It's still used in reverse with this but on normal version it's practically never used in my case. Most stock cars that I noticed never end up using that side path.

Don't know if it's intentional, but somehow, this car feels very stock-like, as in, like it would fit with the rest. I love the model and texture. Anyone else got similar vibes with this?

Office 1
Standard Track Friday, 26th December 2025 |
This one doesn't have that much of a stock feeling to it. I mean, there's some vibes it's got that do fit that, but most stock-style tracks never come even close to how actual stock tracks feel and look. Additionally, Zipper and Nitro got some good points about how bad the track flows and Paige hit nail on the head with too little decoration - Even for stock tracks that usually don't have a whole lot of decor, this feels almost empty. Good effort, but Airport tracks from Xarc are, so far, still the best stock-like tracks out there to date. 3.8/5 from me.

Shooting Star
Semi-Pro Car Tuesday, 19th August 2025 |
Innovative? Yeah, sure, maybe. Any good? Hardly, but it deserves the 3 stars at minimum. This is something I often award creators and their creations with when it's clear there was effort put into a creation, but not enough to make something that truly shines - And this has got to be one of those creations. I hardly ever go on creations harsh enough to rate them below that score. And if I do, they probably deserve it. Hence, I think 3.3/5 stars score is still valid.
