Today is the first birthday of my first upload Isivolt 1, and I celebrate it with the RV-TV tracks.

RV-TV is a TV channel dedicated to Re-Volt. Today, some Re-Volt cars will invade the studios ...

    Enjoy!

My screenshots are slightly outdated, I've added lamps and lights.

Thank you rodik for the sound at the gates next to the start line, the loading screen and the sweep cam!

    Version 1.0.1

    • Added new signs
    • Slightly modified the world file

  1. Frankly I ignored this release for a while, but I actually had a lot of fun playing your track.
The racing line is simple and flows well, but is surprisingly technical. While there are no major bumps or jumps, I don’t see anything wrong with a straightforward circuit.
The corridor sizes are appropriate for the racing line as well. There is enough space to see and avoid obstacles, but the optimal route is also narrow enough to make the turns challenging.
The AI pathing is appropriate, and cars with “good” AIs do pose a serious challenge in terms of pace.
In terms of art and sound design, I have no qualms.

One thing I have to critique is the lack of pickups and their placement. Aside from one or two of them, most are out of the way from AI cars, which makes races rather stale by Re-volt standards. Of the few on the track, most are out of the way from the racing line by 0.5-1 second, which would discourage players from taking them. Although this may be an interesting idea strategically when playing with human opponents, the overall pickup placement does not make the track ideal for casual online or offline play; one may as well be playing the track with pickups off.
