Where Drury Lane meets the fast lane...
Green J here again, with yet another one of my "wacky tracks". And what better racing venue than through this fairytale industrial complex?
Wing your way to Berryland Muffinworks, the seventh of my original Re-Volt tracks, and one that takes place in the atmosphere of a direct-to-video movie of some sort.
Heavy machinery abound, this track takes place in a blueberry muffin factory run by fairies. Be careful not to get baked in a race to the finish, or the dough might clog your engines!
Comes with a time trial challenge time, and two stars (Practice and global).
You need RVGL 21.0930a-1 or later for the track to work properly.
Feel free to comment here if you have any ideas on how to enhance the track.
Agree with previous comments. Especially with regard to the animations which are superb but which cannot be seen during a race: what a pity!
Timepiece Tower was perfect for that.
You are now one of those whose next track I am impatiently awaiting (-;
Once again you got me with this one. I maybe said it before, but I say it again: You are the most creative creator since a lot of years, and every track of yours surprise me once again.
Do a free-roam discovery on this track, everyone! My favourite here is the blueberry muffin production line. Starting with empty cups in phase one, you can follow the process till the muffins will filled with berries. AMAZING detail. I also like the turbine room and the unicycle parking. Had to laugh out loud when seeing this! The music track fit 100% and is awesome, once again.
Oh, racing. Yeah. I nearly forgot. :) You also hit my flavour this time! It’s a short track, but very fun with a lot of tricky parts. 4+ out of 5. Graphically, I just miss some more shading, and a bit better texture mapping at some areas. Nothing else to complain.
Maybe my overall 2023 favourite so far.
There is an emergency, but I can’t reach the red button!
The animations are excellent, but the animation with the conveyor belt and some details can’t be seen without using the free camera.
The raceline is also good, the only thing I don’t like is the 90° turn right after the small jump, I would have placed the jump a few meters before the turn.
It seems the music has the clock sound from the track editor, which is a nice touch!
That’s a wacky track I must say! I would do something about the grass part because it is not clear how inside you can take the corners without getting red x. Keep up the good work!
