Earth is not the only planet to have oxygen anymore...

Green J here again, with another one of my "wacky tracks". And this just might be my biggest so far...

You've seen the nail-biting Lava Circus, you've visited the spine-chilling Warped Farmhouse, but you've never been to this ultimate space-age summer resort...

Blast off for Planet Exotica, the fourth of my original Re-Volt tracks, which takes place "out of this world" - literally!

Inspired by the memories from my summer vacations, this track takes place in:

    • A tropical beach resort
    • With a casino strip
    • On a desert planet!

Comes with a time trial challenge time, and two stars (Practice and global). Made with Keyran's Rally PRM kit.

You need RVGL 21.0930a-1 or later for the track to work properly.

Feel free to comment here if you have any ideas on how to enhance the track.

  1. I wouldn’t call this a wacky track, It’s not on levels of the infamous hilaire9, honestly. As a track with Keyran’s PRM track set though, it’s okay. The long straights kinda kill it, it neededs like a few obstacles to make it feel alive, probably, but for a leisure drive, even in Super Pros, it is..surprisingly fun.

Yet another of my rare track reviews, there’s no much I can say about this one. Though it did live up your track with the casino slots at the Pyramid casino, reminding me of the same slots in a few games like Daytona USA. The Nile Park area is surprisingly technical enough that, you still need some sort of skill levels to not flip there on the sand.

Not bad, not bad at all.

  2. Great little track! (750 meters all the same).
The original idea is excellent but this should be highlighted more: a spaceship is not enough to make a “planet exotica”, even if you say in the readme file: “The unicycles stay upright because of the unique gravity on the planet.”
The racing line is really too simple in my opinion and therefore not very interesting to play.
But for everything else: Wow! A really well done track.

  3. This track made with my prm set is a nice birthday gift for me (I have tested it today). My favourite part is the Nile Park.

I don’t know why there are opaque spheres on the lampposts – they are useless on a track set at daytime. Maybe because it’s on another planet? Maybe it lost it’s transparency property when merging all instances into the world file? Anyway, these spheres should be barely visible, and I have added them to recreate an effect from the lantern object used in Ghost Town 2 and Toytanic 2. The only track that (poorly) use the potential of these spheres is Cathedral Garden and each lamppost has a light in it (either orange or blue) to make its sphere visible. Also, the start/finish text is barely visible.

The AI could be improved, it’s not very hard to win a race with AMW. You’ll probably acquire some experience with AI nodes while making more tracks.

Finally, this is another track that does not have a reverse version despite not having any big jump like Lava Circus. It really could have one, there is even the start/finish sign on the opposite entrance of the tunnel!
