This is a Mario Kart DS conversion of a track named Figure Eight Circuit. I tried to make something as close as possible to the original track.

I worked on it with the goal to understand how Makeitgood tools work, and thus to be able to make other tracks in the future. I also tried to use as much RVGL features as possible, to better understand track making

A special thanks to all people that helped me to finish this track, and to all people that gave me feedback (I will avoid mentioning them, for fear of forgetting some, but they are numerous.  :) Tell me if you want to be credited.)

This is a quite simple, straightforward track. I downsized the original track at 0.6 scale, because it was too boring with its initial size, considering Re-Volters feedback.

  1. I am always excited to see a new Re-Volt creator! This first track is a conversion of a Mario Kart DS track. Cool! I haven’t played Mario Kart DS much, but the conversion seems quite solid. The scale is good too! Apparently it was larger at first, but it was modified after feedback. The track is straight-forward, but the AI is good, which makes for nice races. I also like that the grass has a rough surface type.
This track lacks a readme, even though the RVW description contains four paragraphs that would be nice to find in a readme, in addition to the usual information of date, track name, and track creator. Maybe Flo’s future tracks will include a readme! In any case I’m excited to see what’s coming up. :)

  2. When I see a first track like that, and although I don’t find it very interesting to play, I say to myself: “wow, I can’t wait for the next one!!!”
