Alleyways Basic is my content submission for the Re-Volt World Open 2022, now available as standalone download.

A track editor track that places you on a murky highway while the sun is setting, the highway turns out to be a dead end caused by a road block, you find a detour road on the side that sees you go thru twisty and narrow alleyways, you have no ideas of where you are going. Suddenly bright colors and the entire surroundings change as you arrive in a vibrant neighborhood. After a short visit of the area you find a path leading back to the highway you were previously in, after speeding across the long straight you find yourself where you have started, ready for another lap.

This track borrows some textures from other tracks, the inner area of the track uses floor textures from Kiwi's Spa-Volt 2 and the outer area uses ground texture taken from Zeino's circuit tracks. The skybox is from G_J's Fairground 2.

Featuring a tough Practice Star that requires some amount of precision to reach.

Time trial challenge time is balanced around Toyeca, try to beat it!

  1. Very unique feel! I’ve never seen a Lego like this. The track design seems very deliberate. Great job, I like it.
I have a few minor complaints: your story is really nice, perhaps add it to the text file along with your name and the publication date and call it readme.txt instead of used_resources.txt? You never know if people will have the RVW description on hand. I also find it a bit weird that there are two music tracks, I would prefer having one set, so that the experience isn’t based on a 50/50 chance. Moreover, neither track loops properly. “spring gang – Get Up on That Horse.mp3” actually seems to have been designed to loop, but there is silence at the beginning and at the end. When you delete that it loops perfectly.
Just some pet peeves of mine; I really enjoyed the track and am hoping to see more from you! :)
