My entry for the Re-Volt World Birthday Contest 2023. To be honest, I didn't expect the car to have such bad handling, especially on Lego tracks, that made it undrivable for some people, but that can be attributed to a lack of feedback on the car before I submitted the entry. I have increased the turning angle a bit, so it's more bearable.
This car is a remodel of BossVolt, and is based on this image.
The skin is also inspired by Asphalt Cowboy from the 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker arcade game. A paintkit is included with the car.
The pack parameters didn’t make it justice.
This now, poses respect, and I’ve never been too much of a fan of high, heavyweight vehicles but this one fills a niche so well I can’t really ignore it. Truly a step up in trucks, even if it’s a toy one.
HM is definitely worth a second look, now that the post-contest parameters feature improved handling.
While I normally don’t like large heavy cars, Highway Mauler was unexpectedly my favorite entry for the 2023 Birthday Contest. Objectively, the other vehicles I voted for had more polish, but I couldn’t help but vote for Highway Mauler despite its faults.
