Junky is a remodel of Allan1's awesome Dump Truck. It was one of my favourite cars since I rediscovered the game in 2017. In 2018 I made an alternate skin for Dump Truck, called "AMA Dump Co.". Now I decided to make a standalone car out of this skin.

I (very) slightly adjusted the model. The wheels are smaller, as an example. The texture has more shading and more details compared to my "AMA Dump Co." one. The params are nearly identical to Dump Truck, with some very small adjustments.

Junky is gas powered, as a difference to Dump Truck. Also, it has a custom honk sound, which I borrowed from the 1997 game Ignition, made made UDS.

    Have fun with Junky!

  1. What do you get if you mix a dump truck, BigVolt and Phat Slug? Junky. The performance is a bit more akin to BigVolt because it can actually do stuff, as well the bouncy suspension and big wheels to the likes of BigVolt, and also the suspension bit from Phat Slug – Heavy cars, soft suspension. Quite fun actually.

However it takes mastery as per usual since softer suspensions makes for jumps and cornering not too much precision and you can get screwed over rather easily. But it’s still fun being a dump truck with big wheels, owning it up on the tracks to further humiliate your opponents.

Junky’s a fun car to play with in Rookies, it makes things more fun actually to have a bigger car than usual compared to normally sized ones you have that are on TC style and what not.. It’s not exactly a buggy, but not sure the actual type of class these are in technicality.

  2. Heh, the opening honk sounds like the Road Runner’s “meep-meep”, truckified :) Fits with the car speeding away from the camera, too :)

    Greetz,

  3. Thanks for this error report. I’ve updated Junky to version 1.1. The wheel hitboxes should be much better now. There maybe is a small change in handling, but after testing on some different tracks I noticed no major changes myself. Ah, yes, btw: Junky also got a new carbox picture.

  4. great car, apart from the fact that the wheel hitboxes are janky, several times while racing I had a bigvolt climbing thin air, otherwise, great as always, keep it up
