A remodel and reparam of Boomslang, a car I made some time ago.
Sidewinder is a funky-looking muscle car / open-wheeler hybrid with twitchy 4-wheel steering, below average speed and wide wheel base, which is made up for by it's great recovery due to it's great acceleration, good grip and above-average weight.
Comes with 10 skins and a custom engine sound from Ignition by Virgin Interactive.
The Sidewinder is quite a very gimmicky car, aesthetically and model wise, the same as Boomslang or similar, except with bigger wheels and sticking out as an open wheeler. The reason for that, the car handles a lot more loosy goosy and..to be honest, it can be either fun or very annoying. Let’s get to that.
This car is VERY twitchy, even if you tap handle it. But even holding the steering, this car turns WIDE. That’s the opposite of what the Twyster does, also with 4 wheel steering…that one does turns quite tight. But yes, this car has very good acceleration and momentum when you get zapped. That said, it’s not exactly a good car for beginners..it isn’t very precise…and since it can still turn wide…you still need to master it.
That said, the car ain’t bad at all, I quite like it.
Update: Added a a paintkit with a .psd file, .kra file and the layers from the .kra file as separated .pngs.
It’s a very good car. I like the skins and the model. Keep it up!
