"Improved AI Nodes" is designed to increase the difficulty of CPUs by refining the racing line and fixing key areas that cause cars to crash/spin out. Only AI nodes are touched. CPU performance is also dependent on the level of AI parameter optimization, so the overall challenge depends on what cars are the opponents. These new nodes should provide a moderate challenge for even experienced players. Improved nodes are not fully compatible with multiplayer and will tag the track as "CHT"; therefore, please disable this installation before racing online.

The stock nodes for Toys in the Hood 1 are already pretty good, so there is only a couple minor things to improve upon it. Cars will no longer crash into cones and the overall racing line is tightened up. Some extra paths are added, either pickup routes, shortcuts, or just variation for variation-sake. This helps cars to occasionally avoid oils they originally had no option but to run across.

The camber of the road proves to be a challenge to less stable cars like Toyeca which can spin out while turning. While some efforts were made to reduce steering at the apex of corners, some spinouts will still occur due to variation in AI understeer thresholds. This is an issue with stock nodes and still presents as an issue with my edits. Generally speaking, slower car classes will have less issues with spinning out.
